- Late Arrivals: Registered campers arriving after dark should contact St. Andrews State Park in advance for current gate-access instructions.

Standard Campground Reservations
- Florida residents: Standard campsites may generally be reserved up to 11 months before the arrival date.
- Non-Florida residents: Standard campsites may generally be reserved up to 10 months before the arrival date.
- Florida residents age 65 or older and qualifying residents with Social Security disability documentation may receive a 50% reduction on the base campsite fee.
- The discount does not normally apply to taxes, reservation charges, utility fees, or other additional fees.
- A $7 nightly utility fee may apply to eligible campsites but does not apply to tent camping.
- Availability, campsite prices, utility charges, cancellation terms, and reservation fees should be confirmed through the official Florida State Parks reservation system. The amount displayed during reservation is the applicable total.
Primitive Group Camp Reservations
- The Sandy Point Primitive Group Camp follows different reservation rules from the standard campground.
- Youth groups: Reservations may generally be made up to 11 months in advance.
- Adult groups: Reservations may generally be made up to 30 days in advance.
- Youth groups must have at least one adult chaperone age 21 or older for every 10 youth campers.
- Required chaperones must remain with the group throughout the stay.
- Group eligibility, minimum group size, site availability, and current reservation procedures should be confirmed before arrival.
Visitor Tips & Best Practices
- Arrive Early: The park can reach capacity on weekends, holidays, and during peak beach season. Entry may temporarily close when parking areas are full.
- Choose Weekdays: Monday through Thursday is often less crowded than weekends.
- Plan Shell Island Access: Ferry services and private boat rentals operate separately from park admission and may depend on weather, season, and availability.
- Use Caution at the Jetties: The area is popular for snorkeling and fishing, but currents, waves, slippery rocks, and marine conditions can change quickly.
- Bring Food and Water: On-site availability may be limited or seasonal, so bring sufficient drinking water and supplies.
- Prepare for the Sun: Shade is limited in many beach areas. Bring sunscreen, protective clothing, sunglasses, and suitable shelter.
